Coffee Garden serves Cafe Ibis coffee, which is one of the better coffee roasters in northern Utah. Additionally, their prices for drip coffee are a lot cheaper than many other shops serving Cafe Ibis or even lower quality coffees.
CG has always been quite busy when I've visited, as it is located not far form Liberty Park in Salt Lake. There is plenty of seating, but that means there are plenty of people.
Overall, the atmosphere is busy but manageable. It's a good coffee shop to sit (outside) and talk at, and it's also good for those who need to get some work done. It's rare for a coffee shop to comfortably serve both types of people at the same time, but the space is big enough to accommodate many different types of customers' needs.
They seem to have a nice collection of baked goods available, and Hunny enjoyed a macaron on our last visit.
I think that if you live in the area and like coffee and coffee shops, CG will quickly become a regular haunt for you. -

Awesome place to chill and hang out. I love that there are paintings on the wall. I don't know if they support local artists but if they do, kudos to them. Also, there is classical music, which makes it relaxing to stay for a while as time pass by. It's also a safe place for LGBT community. Love the rainbow flag hanging outside!
I'm new to this area and the employees are super nice. They are happy to help which food suits best for me in the morning. I arrived shortly after they open. They happen to have regulars coming in. Although, it's a bit expensive for me to shop here as a college student, the ambience is nice to stay and relax. If you have the money, come by and chill!
Coffee isn't given piping hot so drink after you snap for the gram! They gave a simple design, but it's instagram worthy for you hipsters out there.
I don't recommend reading a book here. It's not as quiet. However, if you play Pokémon Go like I do, this is the place to camp and spin the pokestops! -

Community. That's what makes this place so fascinating, you get a pulse and picture of what the neighborhood looks like. It's refreshing for a place like this in Utah.
Now, there are many things I can talk about. The pastries are consistently delicious, definitely a cut above your typical coffee shop. But, what REEALLLY REALLY shines is the cold brew from any Coffee Garden location. It is smooth and always prepared to perfection. Once you've had the cold brew from Coffee Garden, cold brews every where else is extremely underwhelming.
Please Coffee Garden baristas, connoisseurs, please continue giving me perfectly perfect cold brews every single time.
Sincerely,
Coffee Garden Cold Brew Drinker of 3 years -

London fog here is good, lattes not so much... the coffee almost seemed burnt and left a weird aftertaste. I do enjoy the macarons here and appreciate the late hours. There are outlets which is nice but the WiFi is pretty laggy. Unfortunately, I didn't have a VPN when I last came here and someone hacked into my gmails later that day. Please be aware of that if you're using public WiFi!

Great place to visit while in town to sit and chat, or even for the locals to come study. This area is so friendly and nice. The staff here are very kind. They have an array of delicious pastries to try. I had the Chai Tea latte. Parking is a bit limited, but worth hanging out to find one.
